Welcome to Fifth Grade!

I am a native Lawrencian working as an educator since the Fall of 2004.  I have a passion for personalized learning and building meaningful relationships with students and our learning community to foster growth and achieve academic success.    

I have two daughters and I spend much of my time outside paddle boarding, biking, hiking, and playing all sorts of sports.  Second to education I love to travel, I lived and studied in Costa Rica from 1999-2000, traveled to the UK playing Rugby with the University of Kansas in 2002, and took two mother/daughter trips visiting Barcelona, Florence, and Nice, but the most memorable and recent was my trip to Kenya in January of 2020.  My travels help influence my belief that our students must be prepared to work in a global community, being prepared to create job opportunities for themselves and those around them. 

I look forward to developing a resilient, constructive, and dynamic learning community while creating meaningful and supportive relationships to enhance our educational journey in the upcoming school year.
