Mrs. Lynnie Kendrick

Welcome to Pinckney Elementary School!  I would like to introduce myself to you.  My name is Lynnie Kendrick and this is my 31st year of teaching. I attended Lawrence schools all through my learning years and after graduating from Lawrence High School, I traveled to Emporia State University to become a teacher.  I taught in the Basehor-Linwood School District for 16 years but wanted to teach closer to family.  For the past 15 years I have taught in the Lawrence District.   All of the 15 years have been at Pinckney Elementary School.  During my time at Pinckney, I have taught fourth, fifth, and sixth grade.  I am a true Panther!!

After many years of being a classroom teacher, my position changed from being a fourth grade teacher to a Reading Interventionist teacher.  I have always loved to read and what better way to share my love for reading than helping students become better readers and hopefully encouraging them to develop their own love for reading.  I work with 3rd-5th grade students on improving reading comprehension skills and reading strategies.

If you would like to talk with me or have a question about reading, my door is always open.  Please feel free to come and share your thoughts. I hope your family has a wonderful year! Go Panthers!
