Hello Families!
I have been working at New York Elementary since the 2010-2011 school year. I have loved every second of it and I am so excited about what is to come. As a teacher, my biggest passion is enrichment. I believe students of all ability levels benefit from engaging, challenging and supportive environments. After school, I also help facilitate Garden Club and Student Leaders Club.
When I am not at school planning or teaching I like to drink tea, watch films and play with my dog :) My husband, Zach, and I moved here in 2010 to pursue my Masters in Special Education and his PhD in Film and Media Studies at KU. He is currently teaching Video and Animation classes at Lawrence High School.
