Algebra 1: Hours 1, 4, and 6
Advanced Geometry: Hours 2, 3, and 7
This is my 11th year teaching at Lawrence High School. This year I will be teaching Algebra 1 and Advanced Geometry.
I graduated from Lawrence High School and the University of Kansas. I currently live in Baldwin City with my husband, Tim, three children, Emily (16 yrs.), Ty (13 yrs.), and Luke (9 yrs.), and a “chi-weenie” dog named Daisy.
My personal learning style is very visual, which means that I learn best from examples, diagrams, pneumonic devices, procedures, etc. I am often able to connect with my students who typically struggle in math by using these strategies. I feel it is important for all students to get the chance to be successful in math, and to carry on their problem solving skills into life after high school.
* IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE A LION!
* There is work that is work and there is play that is play; there is play that is work and work that is play. And in only one of these lie happiness. ~ Gelett Burgess
* We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have. ~ Frederick Koenig
* Do math and you can do anything!
