Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Taylor 'TJ' Olson
Welcome, my name is Taylor Olson, but I am known as T.J to most. I am a 9th-10th grade Integrated Studies teacher who works in the Special Education Department. This is my first year of teaching, and I graduated from The University of Kansas in the spring of 2014. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Education – English, as well as a provisional license in Adaptive Special Education. I am currently working on my full endorsement through the University of Kansas.
Though my degree is in English, I am able to help students in a variety of different classes, such as Math, History, and Science. I am in my classroom before and after the school day to help students complete their work and get a better understanding of the concepts they learn in their other classrooms. I enjoy spending time with my students and showing them a friendly, helpful face when they come to me to ask questions or just tell me about their day. So far my time at Lawrence High School has been busy, but rewarding, as I can give students that extra boost they need to get through their homework, tests, or just their day.
