When: I started teaching at LHS in August of 2012. Prior to my experience here, I taught 9th-12th grade Special Education in Central City, Nebraska.
I have Bachelor’s Degrees in both Special Education and Elementary Education. I have a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Alternative Education. I received all my degrees through Wayne State College in Nebraska.
I love helping 11th and 12th graders get prepared for life after high school. I assist with improving self-advocacy skills, organizational skills, career and college exploration, and by working to improve basic skills.
I teach one section of Directed Studies. This class provides academic, organizational, and social/emotional support for student success in high school and beyond.
The Total Equality Alliance (TEA) is a club for LGBTQ+ students and allies. The TEA club is dedicated to racial and social justice work, and takes an active role in the school and community to increase LGBTQ+ awareness and visibility.
