Greetings Free State community! 

I am so very excited to have joined the flock this year! There are so many great things happening at FSHS. Every day, I leave with a feeling of admiration and am just so impressed by something a student shared with me in general conversation. It could be something they have done in their past, are currently doing, or planning to do in the near future. Every day someone in this building reminds me of just how amazing this group of students are!!! 

Some things about me.... I have worked in Topeka 501 for the last nine years. While there, I collaborated closely with our Native American Services Coordinator. I am passionate about developing, creating, and promoting opportunities for students. I hope to continue to do the same  here in our district.  I am passionate about learning and bringing current ideas to our  CTE Graphic Design and Visual Arts Programs.

I am very active and love the great outdoors. When I am not focused on something at school, I am with my husband and two small children.

Every one of my classes has a Google Classroom page.  All assignments are posted and graded in Google classroom. For my classes, students know that if they have submitted it in Google classroom, they are good. We check for missing work weekly to make sure students have turned in their work in Google classroom. Email me if you'd like to be added to our Google Classroom as a parent or guardian. I would be happy to include you. I am working very hard to get and keep my grades updated in Power school.
