• “What We Do”

During the year, the Sunflower PTO hosts and sponsors lots of events. There are many ways to get involved, even if only for a few hours. Activities include the carnival, classroom party organization, WatchDogs, library volunteering, the book fair, Kindergarten Round Up, spiritwear, and a dozen other projects and events throughout the year. Some of these are listed below.

The PTO provides funding directly to teachers to purchase materials and educational media for their classrooms, folders for every student, planners for every student in the upper grades, field trips, clubs, 5th grade recognition, landscaping, special event lunches for school staff, the winter giving project, yearbooks, the science fair, and more!

Volunteering is a rewarding way to connect with other parents, get to know the staff, and contribute to the educational experience at our school. All assistance is welcome! Forms to sign up for activities are sent home within the first few weeks of the school year; there are extra copies in the office. On Curriculum Night in the fall, the PTO organizes an activity fair in the gym, which is a wonderful time to meet and ask questions. Please contact Thea Perry or Grace Lee with questions or for more information!
