Langston Hughes Elementary

Welcome! My name is Brianna Kent and I am a third grade teacher at Langston Hughes Elementary School. I am in my third year of teaching, after graduating from KU in 2020. I taught second grade for two years at Lecompton Elementary School, took a year off, and am so happy to be back in the classroom! This is not my first time working at Langston Hughes, as I student taught with Mrs. Diane McGee in Spring 2020. 

My passions include coffee, reading, and inspiring students to love learning as much as I do! In my free time, I love to be outside, read, and bake. You will find me almost every weekend at different Lawrence events- like the farmer's market!

I am so grateful to be a part of such an incredible community as Lawrence, and even more excited to join the Langston Hughes community. I am always willing to chat over a cup of coffee. Feel free to shoot me an email or schedule a meeting anytime!
