Academic Interventionist

Hey LMCMS Mustangs! My name is Kate Sjursen (Mrs. S.) and I am the Acadmic Interventionist here at Central. I work closely with classroom teachers to provide extra educational to students in their classrooms. I was born and raised in Boston and began my career teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in the same middle school I attended in Massachusetts. Since then, I have lived and taught at the elementary level in various states. I taught at Pinckney Elementary for the last several years and am excited about this new role and to be back in a middle school! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my three boys and doing anything outside!
