Hello Central Mustangs! My name is Molly Marciel, I am excited to be the 6th grade special education resource teacher and cheer coach at Pinckney! I am a born and raised Lawrence native. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas and began working for the Kansas City Chiefs right out of undergrad. 

 

After deciding to go back to school for teaching, I earned a master's degree in secondary science education and taught middle school science for four years. When I made the jump to teaching at Pinckney in 2017, I earned a master's degree in K-12 high incidence special education, and I have found my home teaching special education. I love working with exceptional learners, creating a safe and inviting space for them in my classroom. I love Lawrence, being a product of Lawrence public schools, it feels great to be working in the same community I grew up in. 

 

I have two girls, two dogs, and a husband that keep me busy when I’m not at school. We enjoy singing, dancing, being outdoors, and visiting our family in Hawaii! I can’t wait to meet everyone at Central.
