I am originally from the small town of Nickerson, KS but began my education career teaching Health and PE at a high school in Houston, TX. I joined USD 497 in 2021 and I now teach Nutrition and Personal Wellness at Billy Mills and West and also coach 7th grade volleyball at West. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees through Emporia State University (BSE 2003, MS 2017). 

My husband works at KU and my daughter is a student at Free State. We have an overactive weimaraner, Morris, and an underactive cat named Doug. I'm a big KU Volleyball fan, and enjoy spending time playing outside and hanging out with my family
