Accessibility Statement

Lawrence Public Schools is committed to ensuring its digital content complies with current federal and state accessibility requirements and with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Compliance requires that a person with a disability be able to acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same services as a person without a disability, and be able to do so in an equally effective manner with substantially equivalent ease of use. The district works to ensure that, to the maximum extent possible, persons with disabilities have an opportunity equal to that of their non-disabled peers to access and utilize all digital content created by the district.

Accessibility Standards
To ensure accessibility, the district strives to follow criteria outlined in the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C’s) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA.

We want everyone who visits the Your School website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Your School website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Your School website.

How are we doing?

We've worked hard on the Your School website and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch.

Let us know what you think

If you enjoyed using the Your School website, or if you had trouble with any part of it, please get in touch. We'd like to hear from you in any of the following ways:
