Lawrence Public Schools and the Lawrence community was out in full force during the annual Lawrence Juneteenth Celebration.
In honor of her upcoming retirement, and more than 27.5 years of service to Lawrence Public Schools, the Lawrence Schools Foundation, along with community LEAP partners with Truity Credit Union, have declared June 10th, 2025 as "Julie Boyle Day." Additionally, a new award has been established that will be given annually, called the "Julie Boyle Heart and Spirit Award".
