Lawrence Special Education Advisory Committee (L-SEAC)

The mission of the Lawrence Special Education Advisory Council (L-SEAC) is to represent the needs and interests of students with exceptionalities.

In addition, L-SEAC will advise the Lawrence Public Schools Special Education Department on program needs, review parental concerns of a programmatic nature, and serve as a conduit and advocate for educating the public about what constitutes special education.

The Lawrence Special Education Advisory Committee (L-SEAC) is made up of Lawrence Public Schools parents and staff members. Committee meetings function as a forum for open communication and advocacy. The role of this committee is to encourage and facilitate communication and mutual support among family, school, and the community.

L-SEAC meetings fall on a Tuesday once a month (Unless otherwise specified above)
from 5:30pm to 6:45pm, located at the ESC—110 McDonald Drive, Lawrence, KS 66044.
