Requests and Inquiries

For media inquiries, please contact the Communications Office by emailing the Executive Director of Communications or by calling 785-832-5000 prior to contacting any school, building, or staff member regarding district matters. The Communications Office will assist with questions, requests, and/or arrangements for photo or video permissions, if appropriate.

The Lawrence Board of Education appoints the Executive Director of Communications to serve as our district's Freedom of Information Officer — supporting public records requests. Please note that some requested information may already be available online. For example, budget records, school board agendas and information, district policies, and school and district state statistics reports.
