PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Lawrence Public Schools provides many convenient opportunities for professional development for both its certified staff as well as some instructional support staff. Many professional development options offered by the district meet license renewal requirements. Some may help you work towards a salary increase.
WEEKLY COLLABORATION:
Each building has built-in collaboration time among classroom teachers and instructional support specialists. Collaboration time can also be used for building and/or district professional development. This helps meet recertification requirements and ensures that staff have the opportunity to meet together for collaboration or professional development in a way that will not affect instruction time.
