    BBB STUDENT OF INTEGRITY AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS
    Three high school seniors from Kansas will each be granted $2,000 college scholarships. These awards are not based on ethnicity, need or grade point average, but recognize students who exemplify ethical behavior and personal integrity, and who demonstrate humility, courage, compassion and respect for their peers, teachers and community — values of the BBB.  The Application Guide with complete instructions and the Application and Recommendation Forms can all be accessed at bbb.org/local/0714/bbb-student-of-integrity-awards.html. This year the application and recommendations are all submitted electronically. To be considered by the judges, applications must be submitted by March 10.

    CULINARY & HOSPITALITY SCHOLARSHIPS
    These scholarships, sponsored by WebstaurantStore, were set up in order to support the next generation of innovative chefs and restaurant managers, who are such a critical part of WebstaurantStore's success. The scholarship is open to ALL students who are currently enrolled in culinary/hospitality programs, as well as high school seniors, GED students, and non-traditional learning students who plan to enroll in similar programs at the start of the next year.     DELL SCHOLARS PROGRAM
    $20,000.  300 Awards.  Deadline: December 1. The Dell Scholars program was designed to provide a support system for the challenges many students face while pursuing a degree. Even so, we recognize that college costs can be a significant burden for many students and their families. Nationally, 500 Dell Scholars are selected each year to receive a scholarship plus lots of non-monetary supports.
     
    DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY, Inc.
    Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has established a scholarship fund for African-American female high school seniors who wish to enroll in a four-year degree program, on a full-time basis, at an accredited college.  
     
    DELTA SIGMA THETA - RED HAT RED TIE SCHOLARSHIP
    The Red Hat Red Tie Scholarship is administered to African American high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited degree-granting learning institution.  Due January 30. 
     
    ELIZABETH MILLER WATKINS MEMORIAL SCHOALRSHIP 
    For female-identifying students who are accepted to the University of Kansas.  This is an annual, renewable scholarship for students of all disciplines.  A minimum of 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need are required.  Awards are given at $4,000 per year.  The website will open December 1 and all applications must be received by February 15.     EVERGY CRAFT SCHOLARSHIPS
    For students interested in electric power and distribution or wind energy.  These scholarships are valued at $3,000 each per year and renewable for 1 additional year.     KANSAS KIWANIS FOUNDATION
    The Kansas Kiwanis Foundation offers 44 scholarships for amounts $500-$750. These scholarships provide extra credit or points to applicants from high schools in Kansas that have Key Clubs. All graduating Seniors who are members of Key Club at Free State High School are eligible. 
     
    KANSAS PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP
     Kansas Promise Scholarship is available to students attending Kansas community colleges, technical colleges, Washburn Institute of Technology and certain private postsecondary educational institutions.  Four year public universities are not included in the Promise Scholarship Act.  The scholarship requires specified programs of study in the following fields:  informational technology and security, mental and physical health care, advanced manufacturing and building trades and early childhood education and development.  In addition, the participating schools may also add one other eligible program area.  The scholarship can be used toward tuition, required fees, books and required materials but is a “last dollar” scholarship, therefore it will be awarded after other aid, grants and scholarships are awarded.  In exchange for the scholarship assistance, students must live and work in the state of Kansas for a minimum of two years following the completion of their program of study.
     
    KANSAS SEED INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
    The Kansas Seed Industry Association wants to help out future Ag professionals. Are you a student looking to attend a college in Kansas? Are you pursuing a degree in Agronomy, Ag Education, Ag Econ/Business, Ag Communications, Grain/Milling Science, Ag Technology, Ag Farm Management, or Horticulture?     THE KELLY LYNN LUTZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
    Kelly Lynn Lutz (KLL) was an amazing woman who lost her battle to breast cancer at the young age of 40. She left behind a locing family including two young children. The KLL Memorial Foundation 50I(c)3 was established to provide scholarships and financial assistance for students and families suffering from cancer related illnesses. Students pursuing secondary education are eligible for up to a 4 year scholarship if they have lost a parent or caretaker to cancer.
     
    LAWRENCE LATINX YOUTH COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP
    The Lawrence Latinx Youth Council is a group of Latinx and Hispanic professionals dedicated to four focus areas: fundraising, scholarships, mentorship, and advocacy. Our mission is to partner with the Lawrence community to provide mentorship and educational resources for Latinx Youth.     Mesothelioma.net provides information and support for people with mesothelioma. This coming fall semester, and in an effort to further education, they are awarding $2000 to families and students fighting cancer.

    The Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance is dedicated to providing information for those diagnosed with mesothelioma. They are awarding $4,000 per semester to a student who has dealt with cancer, personally or within the family, in an effort to help them further their education. 
     
    MICHAEL DAVIS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
    To be eligible for this scholarship, students must: 1) be a senior, 2) plan on attending a 4-year college/university, community college, technical or trade school, and 3) have a 3.0 cumulative GPA (unweighted). This year, the Michael H Davis Foundation will award 3-4 scholarships ranging from $500 - $1,000 each.  Eligible students can fill out the application via this Google Form.  Applications are now open and will close January 10, 2025.

    OTTAWA CO-OP AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP
    For any student pursuing an undergraduate degree in an agricultural related field at an accredited 2 or 4-year college.  Amount:  $3000 divided between 1-5 recipients.  
     
    OVERACHIEVERS STUDENT GRANT
    $15,000.  1 Award.  Due December 15.  Applicants should be a person who is making a difference in others' lives outside the classroom.  
     
    PB&J SCHOLARSHIP
    For students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically.
     
    PFLAG Lawrence/Topeka
    PFLAG Lawrence/Topeka will be awarding a $1000.00 scholarship in June.  This is for LGBTQ high school graduating seniors that will be attending college or technical school in Fall 2023.  Application must be received by May 31st.  All information included on application.

    REGENERON SCIENCE TALENT SEARCH
    The competition recognizes 300 student scholars and their schools each year and invites 40 student finalists to Washington, D.C. to participate in final judging, display their work to the public, and meet with notable scientists and government leaders. Each year, Regeneron STS scholars and finalists compete for $3.1 million in awards. 
     
    RUDD SCHOLARSHIP (KANSAS GRADUATES)
    The RUDD Foundation provides full scholarships to help pell grant-eligible Kansas high school seniors to attend either Emporia State, Fort Hays State, or Wichita University.  Opens October 3. 
     
    SAFE SPEAKS
    Join the Safe Speaks presentation competition.  The Kansas Sheriffs' Association is providing $1000 scholarships to the winners.  Prepare a 10-minute virtual presentation on a topic related to driving safely.  Students will be assigned a time in Feb to give their virtual presentation and answer questions from a panel of judges.  Five winners will be selected and announced on March 1.  Apply by Jan 17.  ktsro.org/safe-scholarship-form
