Hi! My name is Manda Smith. This is my 19th year teaching. I spent 9 years teaching kindergarten in Topeka. This is my 10th year teaching first grade in Lawrence. I love teaching primary students. They learn and grow so much over the year. It is so exciting and rewarding to watch!

I have 3 sons. My oldest is attending UMKC. My middle child is a 10th grader at Lawrence High. My youngest is a kindergartner here at Sunset Hill. 

Fun facts, I attended Sunset Hill from 3rd grade to 6th grade back in the 1980s. My favorite things are chocolate, Mexican food, the color green, baking, reading, watching Jayhawk basketball and playing board games with my boys.  Email is the best way to reach me, msmith@usd497.org.
