• June 11-18, NSDA National Speech and Debate Tournament at Louisville, KY

    Logistics and costs

The district is providing us with 3 vans for the trip. The Lawrence Schools Foundation pays for our hotel rooms. Students are asked to pay for their own meals on the trip, with the exception of the team dinner on Sunday evening. This means students will need money for at least 13 meals. The hotel offers breakfast each morning. Most of the lunch and dinners will be at whatever fast food we can find close to the competition sites - Subway, Chipotle, etc. Students will also have an opportunity to do some touristy things on Sunday during the day, and will need some funds to cover those activities as well. Once we have those plans in place, I will update this site with ticket costs. Finally, if your student wants any souvenirs, they will need to cover that cost as well.

We will be staying at the Comfort Inn, Louisville, 4444 Dixie Hwy Louisville, KY 40216.

Here is a link to the Tournament Schedule. Remember, all times are Eastern Standard.
