Hello!
I'm Mrs. Golden, and I’ve been working in education for nearly 20 years. I grew up in Salina, Kansas and graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University with a degree in education. After graduation, I moved to Lawrence and fell in love with it! I began my career in Lawrence as an autism paraprofessional, and soon after began working as a classroom teacher.
In my spare time I love spending time with friends and family, soaking up nature's beauty, gardening, cooking, and traveling as much as I possibly can! My family includes my son Mason (11) who will be attending Sixth Grade at Southwest Middle School, and my Golden Doodles Willow (2), Gus (8), and Charlie (14).
As an educator, I am dedicated to creating a personalized learning environment in my classroom. I believe that forming lasting relationships with both students and parents is the key to a successful year. I am looking forward to the year ahead, and getting to know each and every one of you! Get ready for an epic year!
