If you’ve ever wondered about the beautiful garden at South, come lend a hand in the “Garden of Eatin” this Saturday from 9-1. We can use some extra hands to close things down for fall, you can help for as long or as little as you want. If we finish before 1 we will close up early. We are clearing out what’s left of summer plants, and then adding a truckload of compost into our garden beds. We will plant garlic and cover with mulch for the winter. If you have a wheel barrow, shovel or garden fork, please bring it along if you can. A pair of work gloves and your own water bottle are suggested. We will also be joined by KU student volunteers through their Big Event. It’s getting chilly out, so dress for the weather. Please feel free to contact Becky Chappell garden leader at South or Crystal Hammerschmidt farm to school coordinator with any questions. Hope to see you on Saturday.
