  • CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations and changes are made daily Monday-Friday during regular school hours on days that school is in session and will be posted on www.sunflowerleague.org our official sports calendar for LHS. Cancellations made after 3:00pm are made on site at the discretion of administration, officials, and coaches and may not be posted on this website or on the sports calendar site.   • Fall Semester 2020 Eligibility for Fall and Winter Athletes: Final grades from the Spring 2020 (S2) semester will be used to establish 2020-2021 first semester eligibility for all fall and winter sports. See the eligibility page for detailed eligibility information and what courses will or won't count for eligibility.

  • Become a Sports Official The KSHSAA and Call The Game are looking for men and women ages 16 and up who want to return something to their school and community by becoming a licensed athletic official for youth and high school sports. There is a shortage of officials in our area and the number of registred officials continues to decline. Candidates should be in good physical condition and be able to make decisions on their feet and stick to them. Benefits of being an official are: supporting youth sports, giving back to the game you love, developing leadership skills, and earning additional income. Minimum age to work youth sports is 16 and for high school sports its 18. Home of the Chesty Lions

  •  Lawrence High is proud to offer 20 varsity teams and 32 sub-varsity teams in its program of interscholastic sports. We are a member of the Kansas State High School Athletics Association or KSHSAA, a private/non-profit association of accredited member schools, whose purpose is to administer a program of interscholastic activities, festivals, clinics and contests among member schools. 
     
    In our society, winning has come to mean everything. However, if winning comes at the expense of good sportsmanship, everyone is a loser. Sportsmanship and the objectives of educational athletics are what set Lawrence High School athletic events apart from other levels of sports competition. Lawrence High School and the Kansas State High School Athletics Association appreciate your recognition of these values.
