I am a product of Lawrence Public Schools and graduated from the University of Kansas with an Education degree in Spanish and English. Later, I earned my Master's degree from Baker University. I began my teaching career by moving to Central America and teaching high school English at a bilingual, private school.  After two years, I returned to the U.S. and taught Spanish at a middle school in Shawnee Mission.  In 2000, I finally returned to Lawrence and have been teaching Spanish at Lawrence Free State High School ever since.
