Mrs. Karen Gipson
Bonjour! Je m'appelle Mme Gipson. I am a 2003 graduate of Washburn University, where I studied music and German. I continued my education over the next few years and completed my teaching certification and a BA in French. I have been teaching in Lawrence Public Schools since 2007. I started my career as a West Jr. High Warhawk, and then became a proud Firebird in 2011. My husband also works for the school district, as the music teacher at Sunflower. We have a little boy, Ethan, who was born (during Finals week!) in 2013.
