I am Marcia Riggins, and I teach kiddos in grades K-5. This is my sixteenth year of teaching with USD 497 and my sixth with LVS.  I have taught both first and third grades at Sunflower Elementary before I came to LVS.  I love filling my students with a love of learning and a passion to find the answers to any question they may encounter. 

I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and an ELL endorsement from Kansas State University.  My husband and I live in Lawrence with our two children and three very spoiled cats, and one super sweet dog. We love to watch the Denver Broncos play football.   I am excited to be part of the LVS team and to work with families who take such a pride in their child's education.  The self-motivation and ownership a child has in their education with LVS will open endless opportunities.
