    Poster Contest Winner  
     
    Kayleigh, 3rd Grade
    LVS 3rd grade, Kayleigh F., won both the district and state wide award in the poster contest put on by the Kansas Department of Transportation, called “Buckle up for Safety”! She won a two night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge, a fifty dollar i-Tunes card, a bike, and a helmet!  
     
     
    Kendell, 2nd grade
      LVS 2nd grader, Kendell T., participated in the Kansas MAC (Miss American Coed) Pageant this summer. She was crowned Miss Kansas American Princess. In November, she will be traveling to Orlando, FL, to compete in the national competition in evening wear, introduction, and interview.  Good luck, Kendell!

    Won 3rd Place in K12 Regional Spelling Bee, competed in
    K12 International Spelling Bee 2014

    Alexa, 6th grade
    Alexa won a third place award in the 2014
    K12-sponsored Art Contest.

    Katie, 5th grade
    KMBC 9 News featured a story about a
    Lawrence Virtual School fifth-grade student
    and her entrepreneurship. Katie A. of Overland Park
    has started Pawsitively Amazing Dog Treats and
    donates profits to animal shelters. Watch the story online.

    Mimi, 3rd grade
    Mimi was nominated by her Education Specialist
    for her great work in all of her school activities.  
    She attends every on-line class her teacher offers and
    expresses a positive attitude when working with others.

     Andrew, 8th Grade
    Andrew is making his Coterie Theatre main stage debut performance as Percy in The Miracle Worker.  He is in his 2nd year in the Coterie Theatre Master Acting class.  He has also been in several other productions around the KC area.

    Won the LVS AMC 8 Math Competition
     
     
    Hali
    Hali, 5th Grade
    Hali participated in the MAACS fine arts competition at
    Tri City in Independence, Missouri in March 2014.
    She received second place in the Dramatic Reading category
    and first place in the Landscapes and
    Architecture Photography category.
     
     
     
    Keith
    Keith, 1st grade
    Keith was selected as Kansas'
    2013 Children's Miracle Network Champion.  
    He will be an awareness ambassdor for Children's
    Miracle Network throughout Kansas and will represent
    Kansas in Orlando and Washington, D.C.
     
     
     
    Annabelle  
    Bella, 2nd grade
    Bella completed a project, including an intricate diorama,
    about the book titled The Trumpet of the Swan.  
    She did such a good job that her local library
