Welcome Bulldogs!!!!!  I am Mrs. Woodall Routledge and have been teaching band for 34 years.  I've taught in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas and have been teaching at Southwest Middle School since our school opened in 1995.  Highlights of my career were receiving the 2019 Lawrence Educator of the Year (Golden Apple) Award, the 2019 Northeast Kansas Music Educator Association's Elementary Band Director of the Year Award (6th grade), the 2017 Educator Impact Award given by the Lied Center of Kansas, and the 2014 Northeast Kansas Music Educator Association's Middle School Band Director of the Year Award.  The band has received superior ratings at all music festivals, including many 1st place awards at the prestigious regional Worlds of Fun Band Competition.  In 2000, the Southwest Band was invited to perform at the Kansas Music Educators Conference.  Mrs. Woodall Routledge also coaches girls' tennis in the Fall and boys' tennis in the Spring.
