Mrs. Hurst is passionate about nurturing creativity and inspiring young artists. She holds a degree in Art Education from the University of Kansas and a master’s from Baker University. Outside the classroom, she enjoys making her own art, sewing, and exploring art museums. When she's not teaching, she loves spending time with her three kids, ages 22, 19, and 16.  She feels incredibly lucky to be the art teacher at Deerfield Elementary!
