Hello my name is Christy Kelly and I teach K-2 ESL at Cordley Elementary.  I've lived in Lawrence for the past 37 years and began teaching for the district 27 years ago.  Education is my second profession. My first degree is in business.  Soon after I graduated from KU, I decided I wanted to work with children and I went back to school to earn my education degree.  It was one of the best decisions of my life.  I love being a teacher and getting to know and teach all of your children.  I have been married for 28 years. We have a son, Trey, who is 22 years old and is studying Environmental Studies at KU.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, walking, and biking.
