Hello! My name is Amanda Carlson and this year will be my 6th year teaching 3rd grade. I was born and raised in Utah and moved to Lawrence 14 years ago. I received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from Weber State University and an elementary teaching license from Washburn University. I can't imagine doing anything else besides teaching!

 

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with my family.  

 

In third grade, your child will become very independent. I strive for each student to be comfortable and happy in the classroom. A goal I have is that your child be challenged and work hard, but not stressed out. That can be a difficult balance and I believe that we need to work together to make this happen.
