Welcome to Fifth Grade!

I have been a professional educator since the Fall of 2004 and I love it!  I am a Lawrence native who attended I attended St. John, South, and Lawrence High.  After High school I traveled a lot around the world, then returned to KU to obtain a degree in History.  I soon realized that I have a passion for teaching and received my degree from Washburn University in 2004. 

My husband, Dave and I have two daughters; Ashlyn and Paige.  We have one dog named Kona.  I love being outside; some of my favorite activities are swimming, biking, running, snowboarding, skateboarding, stand up paddle boarding or chilling in my hammock.

I believe strongly in differentiation and multimedia in the classroom, therefore, I personalize learning in a blended environment for each of my students.  I am the architect of your child's learning as they set the pace, place, and path for their education.  The classroom environment promotes perseverance, collaboration, and individuality.
