Description:  

Student Club that meets after school weekly to learn and play the game of chess.  Members of the club sometimes compete in area tournaments.

Committee that puts on special community building events for the schools and our families.  This committee also partners with local businesses for various Eat & Earn Opportunities.  Special Events include Trunk or Treat, BINGO Night, Glow Dance, and the Spring Carnival

Fifth Grade

Description:  

Committee that plans the celebrations and special events surrounding our 5^th grade students, including the 5^th grade field trip, promotion ceremony, and graduation party.

Fundraising

Description:  

Committee that secures the annual funding of the PTO.  This committee hosts a fall Jog-A-Thon as the primary fundraiser of the PTO.  It also works to secure sponsorships and donations for various other PTO offerings throughout the year.

Langston DOGS

Description:  

Committee of dads and other father-figures seeking involvement within the school.  Members spend a day within the school, serving classrooms and other areas. Recently, the committee has volunteered in other capacities and taken on additional projects for the school community.

Marathon Club

Description:  

Student Club that meets twice a week to run. Participants are incentivized to run a marathon over the course of the academic year.

Committee that hosts schoolwide celebrations throughout the year. The fall celebration is held near Halloween. The winter celebration is held right before winter break.  The friendship celebration is held near Valentine’s Day.

Description:  

Committee that recognizes the efforts of our incredible school staff throughout the year.  The committee provides recognition activities monthly during the school year. This committee also arranges teacher conference snacks and meals.
