Hello! My name is Lauren Nelson and this will be my first year teaching, I am so excited to get started. I recently graduated from the University of Kansas where I received my bachelor’s degree in Unified Early Childhood Education, Rock Chalk! While I am originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, I have always been a lifelong Jayhawk and I love calling Lawrence home. I am excited to begin my teaching career here at Quail Run as I was lucky enough to have student taught here and have first hand experience in this wonderful community!

As an educator, I will provide and create a warm, loving, welcoming and safe environment where all students are provided the best that I can give them. Additionally, I will help guide students to become the best people, students and friends they can be. As a class, I will make sure we are kind, hard-working, positive, forgiving, and loving to ourselves and those around us. I will also ensure to provide all students with equitable resources and equal opportunity to the best of my capability.
