    Teacher Professional Development

    Lawrence Public Schools provides many opportunities for job embedded professional development to both its certified staff as well as some instructional support staff. The district utilizes MyLearningPlan.com to sign-up and keep track of PD points. Many professional development points offered with the district meet license renewal requirements. Some may work towards salary increase. And job embedded means professional development is more convenient for staff.

  • WEEKLY COLLABORATION:

    Teacher Professional Development

    Each building has built in collaboration time among classroom teachers and instructional support specialists. Collaboration time can also be used for building and/or district professional development. This helps meet recertification requirements and ensure that staff have the opportunity to meet together for collaborating or professional development in a way that will not affect instruction time.
