Hello! I’m Courtney Paul and I am excited to join the Deerfield Elementary team this year. This is my thirteenth year in teaching, fourth year with USD 497, and my first year at Deerfield. I have previously taught kindergarten and second grade, in person and virtually.

I grew up in Pratt, KS and came to KU for college. There I earned my undergraduate degree in elementary education and my graduate degree in curriculum and instruction. I live here in Lawrence with my husband, daughter, dog, and our two hermit crabs.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and reading.
