Third Grade Teacher

I am a 2nd grade teacher at Lawrence Virtual School, working with students in all core subjects.

I began teaching in 1998 and have spent most of my career in the Lawrence Public Schools. Prior to 2021, I taught 4th-6th grades, in both elementary and middle school buildings.

I have three degrees from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!). In 1997, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In 2002, I earned a Masters degree in Education. I had previously earned a Business degree at KU.

In my spare time, I enjoy golf, basketball, playing the guitar, writing, and yard work. I have written and published a book, Saving Mr. Sharp, which touches on Kansas history with elements of mystery and science fiction. It is intended for a 3rd-6th grade audience.
