Angela Rosel is entering her 2nd year at Lawrence High School and her 9th year as a teacher.  She teaches Introduction to Health Sciences, PreMed 1 and PreMed 2. She is also the club sponsor for FCS (Fellowship of Christian Students) here at LHS.

Before coming to Lawrence High School, Rosel had taught in three other school districts; Shawnee Mission USD, Blue Valley USD and Chapel Hill ISD (Tyler, TX).  Additionally, Ms. Rosel comes from an extensive coaching background which includes coaching college track and field at Oklahoma University, Utah State University, Texas A&M University and the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  Likewise, she has coached multiple middle and high sports, including basketball, football, track and volleyball in Kansas and Texas. Furthermore, Ms. Rosel has held positions as an exercise physiologist at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA and at the Cooper Clinic in Dallas, TX. She has worked with world-renowned sports conditioning specialist, Istavan Javorek, assisting the hall of fame strength coach with training and exercise instruction of athletes in multiple sports.  Lastly, her medical background includes working in a cardiology unit performing stress tests, EKG’s and assisting doctors rehabbing cardiac patients.
Ms. Rosel holds a bachelors in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas and a masters in Kinesiology from the University of Texas-Pan America. Additionally, she holds Kansas teaching certificates in the following; Biology 6-12, P.E. K-12 and Health K-12.  Ms. Rosel’s other certifications include; USATF Level 1 certification, USTFCCCA Strength and Conditioning certification, American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certification and National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certification.
Ms. Rosel’s family and faith are her number one priority and are a big part of her identity.  Her free time is spent hanging out with family, golfing, working out, on the lake or by a pool and volunteering her time for charities.
