I am so excited to be your new WRAP Specialist! I'm a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in Kansas. I previously worked as a Therapeutic Classroom Therapist with middle and high school students receiving special education services in our district. My practice is rooted in understanding trauma, removing barriers to healing, seeking justice, and being radically genuine.
Before starting my work in the educational setting in 2018, I was a therapist on the Dialectical Behavior Therapy/Intensive Outpatient Team at Bert Nash. This treatment modality continues to inform my work, focusing on mindfulness, emotion regulation, self-compassion, and radical acceptance. Additionally, I have experience working with survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence, pregnant and nursing parents, and their children. I was a Big Brothers, Big Sisters volunteer for several years.
My passion is working with the entire ecosystem of a person's life, and school is one of the most influential parts of our younger students' worlds. I am grateful to be a part of your school community and another trusted adult who can support all students through their challenges and successes.
