Greetings!

This is my first year as Gifted Education teacher at Cordley Elementary School, my seventh year at Billy Mills Middle School, and my fourteenth year teaching in Lawrence Public Schools.  Before joining the Billy Mills team, I worked at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, was a stay-at-home mom to my two amazing sons, and taught middle and high school Gifted Education in another district.  Upon returning to Lawrence Public Schools, I spent six years working as the Gifted Facilitator at Prairie Park, Broken Arrow, New York, and Langston Hughes Elementary Schools, before joining the Billy Mills (then South Middle School) family in 2017.

I am excited to get to know students at Cordley Elementary (catching up with my students from Broken Arrow Elementary) and to continue working with the sixth, seventh, and eighth graders at BMMS, building new connections and facilitating challenging projects in my students' areas of strength and passion.

It's a great day to be a Cougar/Hawk! Happy learning!
