I grew up in Lawrence, attending Pinckney Elementary, West Junior High, and Lawrence High School.  My freshman year of college was at KU, but I graduated with my bachelor's and master's degrees from Pittsburg State University.  Currently, I am working on my doctorate at Baker University.  The 2023-2024 school year will be my 24th year teaching, and my 6th year in Lawrence Public Schools at Billy Mills Middle School.  Although I don't have any human children, I have 5 dogs: Rosey, Millie, Penolope Peanut, Bernie, and Betty White.  All of them are rescues!  We enjoy growing flowers, and visiting the dog park, friends, and family.
