Welcome to 6th grade Science.

This year in science our study will include life, earth, and physical science topics.  Some specific topics include cells and cell processes, genetics, weather and climate, kinetic and potential energy, and energy transfer  The focus for the class will be to develop students' problem solving and analytical thinking skills through the study of scientific concepts and ideas.  Activities and labs will also incorporate reading, writing, and math skills into our study.

I have been teaching in the district since 1997. I have taught a variety of grades and subjects throughout the years. I have been teaching 6th grade science at SWMS since 2015. I really enjoy the staff, students, and parents here at Southwest Middle School.

Outside of school, I enjoy going for walks, boating, snowboarding, and reading. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. I have a 20-year old son named Curtis. So I also spend my free time watching all of his sporting events.

I'm looking forward to a great year!
