I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. My educational career began at Hamilton Middle School in Wichita where I taught biology. I then taught at Wichita Collegiate and Bishop Miege High School before coming to Free State. I have been a part of the Free State family since the school opened in 1997. From 1997-2013 my responsibilities included teaching several levels of chemistry and biology. I also coached our cross country and track and field teams. From 2013-2019 I moved into the role of associate principal. At the end of 2019, I returned to the classroom.
My hobbies include running, golfing and serving as caretaker of Rim Rock Farms.
My wife Andrea is a Speech-Language Pathologist and I have two sons, Owen and Eli who also attended Lawrence Public Schools.
