Greetings! I am Mrs. Roman; welcome to an amazing year for you and your child! We are setting out on an expedition of seeking knowledge with a goal of reaching the "top" in mind. It will be quite an adventure in the 4th grade.
This will be my 14th year teaching at Deerfield in the 4th grade. We have an amazing team of teachers. Prior to teaching at Deerfield, I taught in the Olathe School District for six years and in Arizona the year prior. I have also been privileged to gain some teaching experience overseas immediately following my graduation from Kansas State University. This experience overseas influenced me to get an endorsement from the University of Kansas in English Language Learning.
I truly enjoy getting to know each student during the throughout the year as we have spend together in class learning and sharing! What a privilege. The students have wonderful personalities, strengths, as well as knowledge to be shared. My goal is to help each child reach their greatest potential while instilling a love for learning.
I believe communication with you is vital. We are a team and you are key players. Please e-mail me if you have any questions or to update me on something you are seeing at home. You may certainly call as well, but I have found e-mail to be best.
