I began my career in education teaching English, social studies, and photography at South Jr. High. I left South to teach English, yearbook, and newspaper at the Lawrence Alternative High School. When the alternative program closed, I joined the staff at Lawrence High teaching English and moving into counseling a few years later. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Education at KU and earned a second Master of Science in School Counseling from Emporia State. I love Lawrence High School because of the tradition and diversity found here. We have amazing students working hard to achieve amazing things. It’s always a great day to be a lion!
