Hi! I'm Carter, the 6th grade math teacher here at LMCMS. I grew up in Lawrence and have been a part of USD 497 my entire life. I attended Sunset Hill, West Middle School and Free State High School and am thrilled to be teaching here at LMCMS!

 

I graduated from the University of Evansville with my degree in Elementary Education in 2015. After graduating, I taught 5th grade for two years in Independence, Missouri then journeyed out to Fort Collins, Colorado. I taught in Colorado for a couple years before moving back to Lawrence and having my daughter in 2019. I started out as a long term sub here at Central in 2023 and loved it so much I decided to apply for the official position.

 

In my free time I love singing karaoke, learning fiber arts, completing puzzles and gardening.
