I worked in special education for 20 years in classrooms, state education department level, district level planning and research, and higher ed before taking on the transition specialist position at C-Tran. I have to say, this is my favorite by far! I love having the opportunity to work with our students at this point in their transition to adulthood. It's exciting to see them put everything together they've learned and then see their "aha" moments. I also enjoy working with families, collaborating to creatively support each student's post-secondary goals.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband Nathan and our dogs Bella and Lulu. I love enticing birds, butterflies, and bees to visit our yard through native plant gardening and food growing, long hikes with the dogs, and demonstrating my creative side through nature photography, cooking, and making delicious drinks.
