Congratulations to our friends from Community Connections at Pinckney, this year's Job Olympics Champions! Our young adults at Community Connections took first place at the 2026 Johnson County Community College Job Olympics, earning 48 medals in the process.

Free State High School
Amanda Torbett's Geometry in Construction class at Lawrence Free State High School applied their construction knowledge in the field by revitalizing the agricultural space at Douglas County Youth Services with a brand new greenhouse.

Elementary Science
2025-26 Program Enhancement
With the introduction of Science as a dedicated special rotation at our elementary schools this school year, students across Lawrence Public School are already solving scientific mysteries and adapting to their new learning environments. That includes students in Staci Ahlvers's Science class at Prairie Park Elementary.
AVID in LPS
2025-26 Program Enhancement
Lawrence Public Schools joined districts nationwide in celebrating AVID Day and how the AVID program empowers students from kindergarten through high school to build the skills, confidence, and community needed for success in college, careers, and life.
