New Directions

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Looking for a way to expand your reach and achieve your goals?  USD 497 is pleased to announce the addition of New Directions Employee Assistance program for employees and your family members.  You can use the EAP in-person, by telephone, or online.  While New Directions provides comprehensive and traditional services, it also offers guidance and motivation to learn new skills and enhance personal or professional life.  Through this exciting process, you and an EAP professional will look at where you are and where you want to be, building on your strengths, setting new goals, stretching to meet challenges, and evaluating achievement.  Along the way, you may also want some assist to better balance your life.  In addition to strategies and techniques, the EAP offers concrete resources to help with child care, planning and care for seniors, and financial and legal advice.  

Employee Assistance Program services

  • CONFIDENTIAL: no one will know if you use it
  • FREE: no co-pays or deductibles
  • Licensed counselors available by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Up to 6 face to face or telephonic visits with a licensed counselor per incident, per year
  • Referrals for Legal, Financial and Family services
  • Employee and Supervisor on-site workshops
  • Online resources, including Work-Life
  • Referral to the health plan benefit and/or community resources if needed
