    FREE School Supplies: Apply by July 31

    Penn House and the Salvation Army are accepting applications through July 31 for free school supplies, shoes and backpacks. Parents/guardians must show free/reduced-price school lunch eligibility or proof of income, personal identification and each child's social security number. Apply at Penn House Mon.-Fri. from 8 a.m.-noon at 1035 Pennsylvania St., 842-0440, or at the Salvation Army, Mon.-Fri. from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at 946 New Hampshire St., 843-4188. School kits will be distributed by appointment the week of August 10-14 at the East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E 15th St.
